The more I see William in these pictures, the more I see that he will make a good King. Catherine brings a regal quality about her. As much as I resented Camilla interfering in Prince Charles & Prince Diana’s marriage, I am glad that she keeps Prince Charles happy. I pray that one day, Prince William and Prince Harry can work out their differences. As brothers, they need each other.

“More adversity than any other family could endure?” Really? The royal family has no idea about the daily struggle, loss, and penny-pinching real life foists on the average person. Please, no pity for these people who live a life only a small part of humanity has ever had the privilege of indulging in. We’ve all lost loved ones. I do admire William’s character, though. He will make a king who understands the life his subjects lead.
I agree, I see so much of Lady Diana in Prince William. She was such a wonderful mother that loved unconditionally with all of her heart and soul. I feel the royals hated that.
Doubt and indecision is Charles’s middle name. Queen says she remembers the happiness that Diana gave to her grandsons as if that all she was and insinuating she wasn’t giving any of that to anybody else. Diana 20 years later is still the shining star of that family with whatever shortcomings she might have had. She was genuine caring and warm no phony friendliness or faking interest in something unimportant like pretending to have a marriage for the sake of appearances. William has been very supportive towards Harry. So the nasty betrayal by his brother Harry must have cut very deep. Harry has changed under the influence of harry’s wife and this has resulted in a bitter harry where harry seems resentful jealous and vindictive.

I don’t think there is a rivalry between William & Charles Per Se, I think it’s more a case of an Elderly man, who grew old in the shadow of a changing Royalty, spending his whole life waiting for his turn on the throne. William on the other hand has had the support of an adoring wife & having 3 Children he loves dearly. I have never been across the pond. But, I had a Welsh Nan who was witty and sarcastic and if you didn’t catch the joke, she would mutter about where you got this dim witted brain from, certainly not her side of the family. I desperately wanted to go to Wales with her as my tour guide. When I think of the adventure it would have been… Be still my heart. Alas, she passed before we could have that particular adventure. When I think of Camila living as a royal, I have a visceral reaction. I know my knowledge of England and Wales is secondhand. The courts would call it here say. But, I dare say, I would be hard pressed not to throw a tomato in her smug mug if I ever saw her in person. She makes me ill. I personally experienced what it feels like to have another woman invade my marriage. The smug silly girl worked with him and would follow him around and outdoors when he went to smoke etc etc..Essentially, she spent more time with him than I did. Our marriage didn’t stand a chance. So, I have a personal reaction, i feel my own stuff come back and know what Diana was going through and I want to toss Camilla off the side of a yacht and keep on sailing. That would fix her wagon, wouldn’t it? As terrible as it is to even think, I almost find myself hoping Charles passes before the Queen so the question of will she be a Queen consort or what in the world will she be will never have to be addressed. Who would think an American would have such a vested interest in the situation. Lord knows, our situation is pretty damn dire. Let’s have some tea and speak of happier things, shall we?

There are a lot of really asinine comments on this video. My mom was married and divorced 4 times. My father married once again after my mom divored him. I love both of my parents very much even though they did their fair share of stupid stuff. Both my parents and a parade of stepparents have influenced my life for both good and not so good. I think it is very likely both the princes love both their mom and dad. It really can’t be blamed on one parent or the other how the princes make good and not so good choices. Everyone makes their own choices, and need to be responsible for their own successes and mistakes. The acceptance of a stepparent is a mature action. That is why they can accept Camilla. No matter what things Camilla has done, I suspect she isn’t all bad as well she is an adult that must find her own way to live with the consequences of how she has lived her life. It still saddens me to know Princess Diana missed out on her two boys and to see Prince Williams get married and see Prince Harry happy too. Every mother feels the pang of sadness for Diana which I don’t think we could dismiss those feelings so casually. Tara Palmer Tomkinson was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor and autoimmune condition in 2016, she died as a result of a perforated ulcer on 8th February 2017. Many years of abusing alcohol and narcotics played a role in her demise. When you look at footage of Diana with her boys, enjoying the log flume at Alton Towers and visiting Disney World etc who could ever accuse her of ‘indulging’ or ‘spoiling’ them? She was doing what any loving mother would want to do with her children. Towards the end of her life when she was behaving erratically it is said she’d lock herself in her bedroom or bathroom, weeping uncontrolably, and William would slip notes under the door reading ‘I love you, Mummy. I’ll always take care of you ‘. Rather than indulge or spoil her sons I rather think she recognized their individual personalities and characters and allowed them to blossom, and by doing so gave them a sense of who they are as opposed to simply being cogs in the royal machine. They have become better young men for her input.

I don’t think they’re rivals at all. Neither seems that enthusiastic about such an onerous role. They just accept it’s one of those things you could get landed with having to do ,as a royal and so you just do it. If you are born into such a class, I thinkyou could feel just as trapped by class expectations as people born into poor classes or the middle class respectable, and it is extremely hard to break free and survive outside your class and tribe. These men have been incredibly dupportive of each other and understanding, emotionally when other men faced withthe same would have argued, possibly even fought eachother to death because the father’s first wife was his sons’ most loving mother. Then along comes Camilla and they have to try snd accept her as a replacement mother figure. No matter how mice or kind a step mum is, she can never matchthe mum they lost. It would be bad enough if she simply died in, say in an accident etc. But when this followed divorce by their father, it would be so much harder to come to terms with… But they all did a great job of it, including Camilla. She would be in a very awkward situation. Iwouldn’t envy her… I doubt that I could have coped with it all. I probably would have just put up with an unhappy marriage, to avoid the alternative, which would be unthinkable.

Prince william is a good guy, kind, generous, so he deserve to be a king. Not his father. 
And the difference? Most mothers work and long hours too. Often needing to work at home over the weekend too. But the kids still manage to grow healthily and happily even with less communication time with either parent. Enjoying that time reserved for them by mummy and daddy is ample for them. I am glad that William has inherited Diana’s soft tender touch & his mum’s charisma. William has been blessed with someone who made his life wholesome & meaningful. William went through so much pain with his mum & those memories are very much ingrained in his heart. Don’t expect William to fall in love with Camilla. I don’t think William will be in a hurry to be King. He has a young family and I think he, Catherine and their children would benefit from more time together as a family before William takes on the top job. He could be a great support to his father who seems to dither at times, but Charles has had a tough life and he deserves to be King. The Monarch tends to be rather removed from the rest of the family and the role demands a lot of them. Prince William and Catherine can still provide that connection between the Monarch and the people and maybe do it more easily without William having to carry the weight of the Monarch’s crown and position. Camilla has done a great job of supporting Prince Charles and together they’ve had to take a lot of hits from the media and being judged in the court of public opinion. Soon the spotlight will be on Prince George and his siblings. I rather wish it didn’t have to be that way, but if they listen to their parents they will do well. Prince William has seen both sides of the coin and has already lived through so much and such a vast range of experiences that he is an expert on what it means to be a Royal, but also what it feels like to sleep on the floor with 18 other people, grateful to have a roof over his head.

So many blame Charles and Camilla. They both fell in love way before Diana was in the picture. But it was Charles parents who put a stop… or tried to put a stop to the love between Charles and Camilla. I loved princess Diana who got caught in that mess. But the ones to blame for that triangle… are the Queen E. & Phillip. Had they allowed Charles to marry his one true love, Camilla, from the beginning , this triangle would have been just a circle of love. Diana would have gone to marry another aristocrat, or artist… someone who would have appreciated her much, much more than Charles. Also, Diana DID Reach out for help, to her sisters, before the wedding to let them know what she’d discovered about marriage set up, .. She was point blank told by Charles that he did not love her!!!! Charles was miserable as well, so you have to wonder what he must have felt towards his own parents for denying him his one true love. No one supported Charles, and no one supported Diana. NO one helped her escape… just because .. her “Face was on the tea towels” excuse. I think this is why Charles DID step in to help Harry marry his one true love, regardless of his own worries about Meghan. Charles had lived the pain and didn’t want his own son, Harry to live that same pain. The only one who doesn’t seem to have learned from that mess was William, messing around in Switzerland, then rose gardens, not supporting his brother in time of need, and trashing his brother’s wife. And whether anyone wants to admit it or not, the sweet little ole’ granny, of 95 years is still calling the shots on all of them. So we will not know the whole story until she’s 6 feet under, and maybe not even then.

I understand William and Harry accepting Camilla. What good it is to hang on to hate when she is inevitably going to be in their father’s life and made their father very happy. I think William ultimately had the understanding that both his parents were mismatched with each other. He’s able to love both of them equally without judgement.

I think the crown should go to William skipping Charles. I also think that the idea of Camilla as Queen is wrong on several levels. Getting a makeover doesn’t make her any more acceptable.
William and Kate are the most down to earth couple. They both do a good job and are very good parents. They have such beautiful kids. We can’t say the same of Harry and the kind of wife he chose. She doesn’t look sincere like Kate. Kate seems so friendly to the people of the UK. Also, her family looks as if they are such a good family and supporting no wonder William seems as if he loves them. Diana would have been very proud of them. I think Charles has done many good things by his sons. Raised by nannies, instead of his parents was painful for him and he made sure not to do that to William and Harry. He also didn’t send them to that rigid, torturous prep school Prince Philip sent him to and even kept them close to home. Charles probably looks back, as every parent does, and wishes he’d done some things differently. But, it has to be remembered that’s with benefit of hindsight.

I guess nowadays, not many peoples like to born in Royal families. No privacies, thousands of eyes, ears to pay attentions, endless gossiping either good or bad, either assumptions or maybe. The reason I say maybe is that whatever people guess, or assume, or heard a bit, or all believe together, however, the absolute truth will have to come from absolute demonstrations by absolute facts in order to say it is real or surely true. This is why don’t like gossip others, don’t like to spread whatever maybe without demonstrating the absolute facts. However, wish others the best by putting our hearts in right place maybe are better God’s nature. Otherwise, as we hear sound of wins blowing, we immediately assume the storm is coming. In reality, wins are blown without storms often happens. If we hear blowing wins accompanied with real storms, we than say storm is coming. If something we said without strong facts of demonstrations, often easily hurt others and hard to ease. I guess this is why God’s wills wants us do better things quickly ourselves and more forgiving toward others and giving chance to learn more to understand more and do better always. Jesus was nailed on cross for humans’ sins, for humans to do better by learning opportunities and experiences from accomplishments and mistakes together. Jesus didn’t want to punish humans harshly without opportunities to do better things quickly together again. if I were a Brit, I would be doing everything possible to end the monarchy after Queen Elizabeth dies it will be a way to further honor her as the last and greatest monarch. The monarchy is so unneeded, out of date, cesspool of bad drama and behavior, unfair in preveledge it gives and prevents any form of normal life, too expensive and too much wealth tied up into one family. Over the last 100 years. The royal family has had very little, if English blood in them, they should be called the German Royal family. As an American, I have more royal English blood in them they the royals do, but unfortunately, my ancestors were illegitimate royals. Get rid of the Monarchy, instead replace the Head of State with a new Office of President, 1 term of 10 years avoids it being political, elected by the people. The President of the UK, would pretty much take over all the duties of monarchy, function and live like the monarch, but it is a job of service that should be shared more. Charles, William, Harry, could each run snd serve a term. This would solve so many issues and greatly reduce the tensions and drama currently in the royal family. I think William has a hidden dark side and is very calculating in his every action. Would not be surprised if William doesn’t grab power from Charles someway, like a regency.

I’m not British but from what all has happened during the 20th century surrounding the royal family and into the 21st century with Charles and Camilla getting married, prince Andrew and his involvement with sex trafficker Epstein, & now Prince Henry and Meghan leaving England and losing their hrh title and then today or yesterday being stripped of their HRS & stripped of being Susseses, the monarchy in England is not loved as it was once. The monarchy was having problems after a Princess Diana’s death because everybody loved Diana and that’s because she gave so much love to everyone. I know that Queen Elizabeth wants to be fair and I know that it was her advisors over Charles that kept Charles and Camilla from getting married in the first place. They sent Charles to see for 8 months and during that time Camilla fell in love with some other man and got married to him and then they got divorced. Charles cared for Diana, but I don’t ever think he loved her like he loved Camilla and it led to a disastrous marriage. Perhaps the queen feel somewhat guilty for coming between Prince Charles and his first and only love and then feels guilty for what happened to Princess Diana when she lost her HRH title and did not have The Bodyguard that she did have when she was Princess. The queen demanded that they get divorced and for centuries monarch have had separate bedchambers. They would get together and hook up to make babies.

Growing up without a mom is the worst thing that can happen to any child, I lost my mom at 4 and my dad refused to remarry until I turned 18 fearing a stepmom won’t be so nice and kind to his kids. Prince Charles raised his boys right and love them.

I think Charles fell In love with Camilla more because she was the mother figure he never had.He did not find It In Diana cause she was younger. Hmm, let me tell you how William appears to many of us across the pond. He puts in minimal effort. He is unimaginative. He lacks charisma, and, more importantly, the human touch. The fact that he’s expected to head the Commonwealth which has multiple people-of-color nations but hasn’t seemed to realize how bad the optics are in regard to his brother’s drama ESPECIALLY in light of the apparently lenient treatment of Prince Andrew in comparison indicates to me that he is a step behind the times. That could negatively impact Commonwealth relations in the future. He does NOT have to have any warm feeling for his brother’s wife in private. But publicly he and the rest of the family should have made a point of speaking out against the press’ treatment of the Duchess of Sussex if only for poltical and public relations reasons. Now regardless of the anti-Meghan feeling, William and the rest have made themselves appear to be completely unconcerned with race relations. Again that’s not a good look. And while the UK may be able to marginalize the voices of people trying to shine a light on racism in the UK, they cannot do so in non-European nation members of their commonwealth. They should also pay attention to the fact that so far much of the American press is behind Meghan. She’s an American after all, the ONLY high profile American in the British Royal Family. We’re your biggest ally. And with Brexit you will need us more than ever. We saved the UK in TWO world wars and THIS is how you let an American be treated in such a high profile circumstance?
