De ongerijmdheid van het menselijk gedrag
Page Description
From the Scottsboro Boys to Japan’s longest death row inmate, explore the irrationality of human behavior and its impact on innocent lives.
1 “The Irrationality of Human Behavior” and the story of Clinton Young
The case of an innocent person on death row, especially someone like Clinton Young who eventually gained freedom due to international help, highlights both the flaws in the justice system and the irrationality of human behavior in the pursuit of justice.
Focusing on the assistance he received from the Netherlands is a powerful angle, showing how external support and persistence can lead to justice, even when it seems impossible. This ties well into the broader theme of the website, emphasizing conscience, justice, and the complex interplay of human behavior in life-or-death situations.

Toughest Stories from Behind Bars: • Toughest Stories from Behind Bars | B…
At just 19 years old, Clinton Young was charged with the murder of two men and sentenced to death. Now, 14 years later, he is still awaiting execution and continues to plead he was not the real killer. With the conflicting testimonies not quite adding up and his DNA not on the evidence, is the wrong man on death row?
In November 2001, Young, along with three other men, left to pick up drugs on a journey that would rapidly spiral into chaos. A journey which ended up with two men dead. Despite strong evidence of irregularities at his trial, conflicting statements and the suspicion that key witnesses were co-erced, Young was given the death penalty.
Through personal interviews with his family and witnesses, simulations with ballistic experts and frank discussions with Young himself, Jessica Villerius delves deep into the case. A captivating investigative documentary.
Saving An Innocent Man from Death Row | Real Stories True Crime Documentary
In 2014, filmmaker Jessica Villerius met death row inmate, Clinton Young, who had been convicted of a double homicide and became convinced of his innocence. Her documentary ‘Innocent on Death Row’ exposed the weakness of the whole case, proving the shootings could not possibly have taken place the way the prosecutor alleged. These and other new facts, including serious misconduct by the prosecution, led to Young’s execution being halted just 8 days before it was due to take place. He is granted a new trial and freed on given bail to await his new trial. Clinton was 19 when he was imprisoned. He is now 38. After almost 20 years of solitary confinement, how do you adapt to life outside? In addition, the strict conditions of his bail prevent him from living in the same state as his family and even going to the supermarket across the road from his house. He’s terrified of making the slightest mistake and being sent back to prison. He’s free but not free. Watch the part 1 here: • Clinton Young: The Wrong Man on Death…

Prosecutorial misconduct in Clinton Young’s death penalty case
5 sep 2020
Clinton’s attorneys have asked the court to throw out Clinton’s entire conviction and death sentence!
Clinton’s legal team has recently asked the Court of Criminal Appeals in Texas to vacate Clinton’s entire conviction and death sentence because for years, the prosecutor in Clinton’s case has secretly worked as a legal advisor for the judge presiding over Clinton’s case. The prosecutor worked on Clinton’s case from both sides. This is obviously against the law; a prosecutor and judge have to work completely independant of one another. This prosecutor’s conduct is in violation with all ethical rules and also with the US Constitution. Even the new prosecutor on Clinton’s case agrees that the case should be reopened. We are now waiting on the Court of Criminal Appeals to make a decision.
Clinton has been on death row for 17 years for two crimes that he did not commit and was almost executed in 2017. Not only is Clinton innocent, but he was denied a fair trial to prove his innocence. Justice has been denied for too long. We respectfully ask the CCA to throw out Clinton’s conviction and give him a new and fair trial.
Watch the video to get all the details. We ask everyone to please share this message and video as much as possible.

Poor blind man asks good Samaritans if they will help him get in a taxi cab and take him home after a long, relaxing vacation in Hawaii. Unfortunately, when he arrives, all he finds is the ruins of his old house, covered in ashes and soot. There must have been a terrible fire when he was away, and everything has been burnt to the ground from the flames! But the blind man doesn’t seem too disturbed. He takes a seat in his regular LA-Z-Boy armchair and cannot for the life of him understand why the prank victims are so upset.
