“Mastering the Art of Manifesting” Wayne Dyer at Wanderlust’s Speakeasy
19 apr. 2013
The greatest gift you have been given is the gift of your imagination. Everything that now exists was once imagined. And everything that will ever exist must first be imagined. Wayne Dyer’s “Wishes Fulfilled: Mastering The Art of Manifesting” at the Wanderlust Festival Speakeasy in Squaw Valley 2012 was an event that everybody who attended couldn’t stop talking about: it offered a voyage of discovery, complete with tools to begin to tap into the amazing manifesting powers that you possess within you and create a life in which all that you imagine for yourself becomes a present fact.
“You must be able to get to this place in your life where you don’t use the evidence of your senses. What your eyes tell you, what your ears tell you, what your stomach tells you. You want to be able to be in a place where you are living from the end as if what you would like to manifest is already there. To make a future dream a present fact you must assume the feeling of that wish as already being filled.”
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer explores the region of your highest self; and definitively shows you how you can truly change your concept of yourself. By practicing the specific technique for retraining your subconscious mind, Dr Dyer encourages you to not only place into your imagination what you would like to manifest for yourself, but you are invited to get into the specifics for realigning your life so you can live out your highest calling and stay connected to your Source of being. From the lofty perspective of your highest self, you will learn how to train your imagination in a new way. Your wishes, all of them, can indeed be fulfilled.

Wayne Dyer – Theres A Spiritual Solution To Every Problem
2 mrt. 2018
With his trademark wit, wisdom, and humor, bestselling author Wayne Dyer offers compelling testimony on the power of love, harmony, and service. When confronted with a problem, be it ill health, financial worries, or relationship difficulties, we often depend on intellect to solve it. In this radical book, Dyer shows us that there is an omnipotent spiritual force at our fingertips that contains the solution to our problems.
The first part of the book provides the essential foundation for spiritual problem solving, drawing from the wisdom of Patanjali, a Yogi mystic; the second half is organized around the prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi, whose legacy is one of love, harmony, and service. Each chapter contains specific practical applications for applying the teachings of these wise men to everyday problems, including affirmations, writing exercises, and guided meditations.
Profound and thought provoking, yet filled with pragmatic advice, There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem is a book about self-awareness and tapping the healing energy within all of us. As Dyer writes, “Thinking is the source of problems. Your heart holds the answer to solving them.

2015: Openingsrede door rector Rik Torfs
The beauty of universities | Rik Torfs | TEDxBrussels
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. The Beauty of Universities
Rik Torfs is renowned for dancing the macarena on TV, being an internationally respected Professor of canon law, and a flemish politician. He’s currently Rector of KU Leuven, one of the most important universities on Europe and holds a prestigious intellectual reputation. Torfs is a guest Professor in four different universities around the world and a highly acclaimed TV personality famous for poking fun at game show contestants but mostly at himself. He has appeared as a guest on most of the top-rated Flemish prime time shows and nurses an envious reputation as a renaissance man; comfortable on the lecture stage, debating chamber, and in the television studio.
How to look at political issues is his main subject. Taking in Euthanasia, global injustice, religious belief and middle class guilt, Torfs is concerned with the big questions namely; life and death. By laying out a subtle argument that admits how relative all our perceptions and beliefs are, and embracing paradox, Torfs has consistently challenged established opinion. He is a heavyweight free thinker who balances a global reputation in research with the highest accolades for television entertainment.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Blind Man Eats Bird Poop Soup
13 mei 2011
People are dining on an outdoor terrace, but have the terrible luck of having a seagull poop directly into their soup. They send back the soup back to the stingy waiter, who doesn’t want to waste perfectly good soup. He decides to serve it to a blind patron, who he figures won’t even notice the difference! Prank victims try to warn the blind man but it’s too late – they can only watch in disgust and horror as he shovels spoonful after spoonful of gross bird poop soup into his mouth.
