Sacked Post Office chairman Henry Staunton has turned his fire on the Post Office’s current Chief Executive Nick Read.
Addressing MPs today, Mr Staunton said he’d been the victim of a smear campaign by the government. He then shocked them by claiming that Mr Read is under investigation and had wanted to resign because he was unhappy with his pay.
