That white guy dating the black woman is SO INFURIATING. The lack of empathy of what happened to Rodney King is attrocious. AND YES that black man was right! They did needed to sit down and talk
Rachel Williams
To be watching this today and to know 30 years down the road nothing has changed makes me sick to my stomach
Suga Ray
Were not prejudice, we’re just really Pro Black at this point!!!

It was a very sad time when these officers got off how they did. Sad that all these years later were still battling racism with the police. BLM

I watched the Rodney King beating on the news 📺 the night it happened. Their is nothing new about police 👮 brutality. Its been swept under the rug 4 many, many, years. 😫

I wonder if that interracial couple at the end is still together…
Monalisa
She sounds like Candace Owens but more sweet and respectful. I have hope for her. Candace Owens not so much.

That white guy was so primitive, he struggled with understanding justice and fairness. Is that how he thinks? Wow!
Ash
This is so Embarrassing, I was a baby in Ireland when this happened but I grew up knowing Rodney King was brutalised by police and murdered. I knew this by 4 living in Ireland with an all white family. Rest In Peace Rodney.
Monalisa
We need an organization to help victims of police brutality.

In basic biology I learned that the human skin evolved to be different shades due to the balance within every human being between our need for vitamin D (thus why people are rare skin, because when people migrated away from the equator, they were leased exposed to sun, so that meant less UV radiation and less Vitamin D from the sun) and for our need to protect our levels of serum in our cells (thus why we some people have darker skin since an increase in melanin helps block the sun, and a lot of people originate from ancestors that lived in the equator before migration was a thing). This changed my perspective on skin completely. No one asked to be darker or fairer. It’s just the biology within, our bodies just trying to maintain its self chemically and biologically in order to remain alive. Of course, these processes evolved millions of years ago, so one cannot change their color in there life time. It takes a lot time to change the genes (if you don’t mate with someone who has the phenotypes for lighter complexions). Adaptions take a very long time to happen. However to just back in topic. It has helped me see people based on their character more. I feel like we have been influenced by media and culture to thing of certain people in certain ways. We assume without knowing. I myself do. I always try to catch myself and to not think that way. I would not want someone to do the same about me. I think it’s time to just view people based on their character and have more compassion for others. Understanding that some people have bad days. We shouldn’t hurt one another for cussing bc we are mad at the world and thus not feeling okay. We need to help those in pain, confusion, and have nothing. So many police killings could have gone way different. If only we had more compassion for one another.

I forgot how gangsta Oprah’s show use to be with both intelligence and insight. You Still Go Girl!! Love Always!!!

That whole “I don’t see color comment” was so tasteless.

2021 same conversation and no evolution…still waiting to be proud of this country…For “united” to be in the name, this seems to be one of most divided countries in the world

Over 25 years later and here we are AGAIN! As the inimitable James Baldwin once articulated, how much more time do white folk need.

Kevin Dockery
That is why the police need to be defunded and it reorganized. Also alot of stuff starts at the ” Top” , ..one day this will all explode, the sad thing , that is what it is going to take for people to finally listen and wake up. No one wants to listen right now and there is so much bad blood
Tron Prime
2021 and nothing has changed. All the voting and marching and nothing has changed. That’s because blacks keep following Dr Kings methods. But if we follow Malcom X methods things would change. BEST BELIEVE!!! Things would change if we would follow Malcom x. White people gained control over everything with violence not by marching. I know some people will read this and say I’m wrong. But Look through world history and you will see white people gained control over everything with violence. Native Americans got their freedom through violence. The Haitians got their freedom through violence. It’s sounds terrible but it’s historical facts.
SouLoveLee_
Equal distribution of power.. yeah…sounds nice

Still having the same debate today!
Ruben S.
When the riots break out why the officers aren’t doing anything? Only how many officer were handcuffed and you swear that was the entire police force? Nothing was stopping officers to stop the riot. Not the fear of being video taped beating protesters of the time and such, but because they saw an opportunity of persuading the public of how the races in those communities are naturally violent to promote a sense of white supremacy.
Mr. No Weapon (The Prince Of The Talkbox)
4:37 that black women is with a white man whos racist.. and she is just as blind as he is
cesar
The division/racism will not stop until Christ Yashaya gets back here to stop it all! Romans 12:19 Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord
Jasmine Houston-Burns
I maintain, these juries are required to reach the conclusion that the evidence meets a standard beyond a reasonable doubt, and I wonder, why juries have so often ruled in the polices’ favor? It’s one thing to feel something is right, it’s another thing for it to be legal. It is actually true that the statistics for unarmed police shootings of black men is very low, it’s like in the low 30’s, and a there’s just under 1000 unarmed shootings overall, and one could imagine that most of the police are getting off. Now, I would be curious as to any discrepancies in regard to how often a white police officer got off versus a non-white one, but the point remains that we don’t really hold police accountable. How does a jury of presumably well meaning people sit through all that evidence, time after time, and decide, “Not guilty?”
Carl Reynolds
White people didn’t have that same energy when OJ beat his case
Ruben S.
I honestly don’t like the “god addition.” I don’t care if it offends you the read, but that thing existent and not has no business in earthly matters. Forgiveness is not for it to give, but to be given for it’s failure to interfere.
Ashley Carter
2021 and nothing has changed😔

A black woman will always turn her back on the black community for her white boyfriend. Count on it.
Callie
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a black person say that they don’t see color. Her partner is white, so she’s just regurgitating his stupidity.
COURTTHESWEETHEART B
You don’t see color but when they look at you they see COLOR wake up girl
Alex Hernandez
Ok that guy made me mad😡, just because you have a black girlfriend doesn’t mean you know what we as black people have to go through on a day to day Basis because In reality she probably doesn’t share her experiences as a black female/person with him so therefore don’t say you understand what we go through when you don’t live our lives because our lives are more threatened then any other race.
Raphael Spector
isn’t that dude an actor now?
E
I do understand. People come in different colors, shape and thinking. Think different is positive. Please think and understand. I do.
Richard Palpal-latoc
It’s son unforgivable a dead brother?? Oh no that will not happen because you see a coffin on your brother???? It can’t heal anymore you will become crazy by that and as in my opinion I should cry everyday by that because there’s no reason to live anymore.

The girl in pink doesn’t see color until people see hers. I truly wonder what would go through her mind if she got racially profiled.

THERE IS NOTHING TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE PHYSICAL ASSAULT AGAINST RODNEY KING BY THOSE RACIST POLICE OFFICERS FROM LAPD RECRUITED FROM THE EAST COAST/DIRTY SOUTH 4 MANY REASONS!!!
M Fernandes
I think what the guy in the sage suit meant was the evidence provided wasn’t enough to convict the officers, NOT that he understands how it is to live as a black person in America. Unfortunately he wasn’t articulate enough to explain that and instead of listening, the audience members just heard what they wanted to hear because they were still reeling from the verdict. We all need to step back before we get up in each others faces, otherwise we will never see the full picture. Everyone on the planet now knows the officers were guilty as hell, but at the time due to the media spinning their own narrative, it left people in disbelief when it came to the final verdict.
ReddAshh
I’m black and I completely understood what that white man was sayin
