Alice Perkins picked apart by Edward Henry Post Office Inquiry KC and Ms Perkins is not happy and says she is offended by the questions.
Well imagine how offended the SPMRs were when you were locking them up by worshipping a False God called Horizon and claiming it was infallible.
There was a rather rancid smell about the Post Office at the time and Alice Perkins here says I didn’t know, I wasn’t told, I didn’t understand, blah, blah, blah.
Well, they all do now and some are likely end up in one of His Majesty’s hotels.

The phrase in the introduction of the video “as if you’re poised Mr Henry as poise as I’ll ever be sir” from the British Post Office Scandal can be interpreted as a formal and somewhat old-fashioned exchange, indicating readiness and composure.
Here’s a breakdown and translation into more modern English:

“As if you’re poised, Mr. Henry”

Translation: “It seems like you’re ready, Mr. Henry.”
“As poised as I’ll ever be, sir”

Translation: “I’m as ready as I’ll ever be, sir.”
Putting it together, the entire sentence translates to:

“It seems like you’re ready, Mr. Henry.”
“Yes, I’m as ready as I’ll ever be, sir.”

This exchange reflects a formal conversation where one person is checking another’s readiness, and the response confirms that they are as prepared as they can be.

Cambridge Dictionary

Poise
approving

Calm confidence in a person’s way of behaving, or a quality of grace (= moving in an attractive way) and balance in the way a person holds or moves their body.
He looked embarrassed for a moment, then quickly regained his poise.
Her confidence and poise show that she is a top model.

She doesn’t care at all. Alice Perkins attitude at the Post Office horizon Inquiry

Alice Perkins former chair of the Post Office giving evidence to the Post Office Horizon Inquiry and being quite dismissive of certain KC’s asking questions. A different tone though when Sir Wyn Williams asked her a few questions. All nice and polite then she was.
These Post Office types are not nice people and some are bordering on being vile people.

Is She Lying?

At the Post Office Inquiry Angela van den Bogerd is asked the question by Edward Henry KC on behalf of subpostmasters on whether she is Lying. She is not particularly credible and was lambasted at Court by the presiding Judge whilst attending some postmasters and mistresses criminal proceedings. You have to ask what sort of an establishment the Post Office is if it employs types like Angela van den Bogerd. I think Bogerd is Buggered

‘HOW Could You Not Have Known?’ | Former Post Office Boss Paula Vennells Grilled At Horizon Inquiry

22 mei 2024

Former Post Office boss Paula Vennells is quizzed today on her role in the Horizon scandal.

The disgraced ex-chief executive is beginning her three days of evidence to the Horizon IT inquiry amid claims she covered-up the Post Office’s knowledge of bugs in the faulty accounting software.

The inquiry is shown text messages between Ms Vennells and former Royal Mail boss Dame Moya Greene, thought to be from around January this year, in which the latter says: “I think you knew” about the problems with the Horizon system.

Asked why she does not answer Dame Moya’s question about how she could not have known, Ms Vennells tells the inquiry today: “I didn’t not answer that question; I was very concerned because I was aware that it was not good practice to be exchanging texts in the middle of an inquiry.

“It wasn’t that I should or shouldn’t have answered her question.”

Day 2 of solicitor Andrew Parsons’ evidence during which, questioned by barrister Christopher Jacobs on behalf of 156 subpostmaster clients, it is read out an correspondence in which he goes on to ask whether the Post Office could ‘start attacking the postmasters’ credibility by calling out [Noel] Thomas, [Seema] Misra and [Jo] Hamilton as the liars and criminals that they are.’ Jo Hamilton, incidentally, was sitting in the front row of the inquiry as this was read out.

He tells the inquiry ONLY that ‘on reflection that language is too strong’…
