Justice versus Conscience

1. Nobody has asked Liam if he did this, because they know he is not the person to do such a thing, as he explains in the BBC videos on this website.
2. His mother says in these BBC videos: I wondered if I saw my son like a rose through a tinted glass.
3. At the court hearings there were up to 15 people present to support Liam (they had even taken a week off). No one for the other side, and so on and so forth …
4. The case is very simple. A lack of resources cannot be the reason, which Liam lists the reasons for, as well as his doubt about what happened regarding the DVD (disclosure of information, as it is officially called).
5. There was not even a possibility to appeal, as the prosecutor explains in the video 4 in the first 4 minutes: where is the DVD? …
6. The coincidence is that at the very last moment it is that prosecutor, Jerry Hayes, who steps in and turns the tide.
7. Even if there is absolutely no charge or guilt, it sometimes becomes a matter of ‘make or break‘ in the justice system. This is simply absurd.
8. It could happen to anyone.
9. Are these not eight pieces of data that raise eyebrows?
   After all, you cannot portray a person as something he clearly is not!
   In such a situation, you have the unavoidable basic question: “Is there anything unclear?”
10. Relevant ‘Prosecuting barrister Jerry Hayes says the case against Liam Allan came very close to being a miscarriage of justice‘.
11. This is an unimaginable tragedy, with the clear data in the case file, there should never have even been a charge.
12. Justice sometimes resembles a disrupted public transport timetable during a strike, or a candid camera-like event where an innocent passer-by falls into the trap, harmlessly.

• Niemand heeft Liam gevraagd of hij dit gedaan heeft, omdat men weet dat hij de persoon niet is die zoiets doet, zoals hij uitlegt in de BBC video’s op deze website.
• Zijn moeder zegt in deze BBC video’s: ik vroeg me af of ik mijn zoon zag als een roos door een gekleurd glas.
• Op de zittingen voor de rechtbank waren er tot 15 personen aanwezig om Liam te steunen (ze hadden zelfs een week vrijaf genomen). Voor de tegenpartij niemand, enzovoort, enzovoort … 
• De casus is de eenvoud zelve. Een gebrek aan middelen kan niet de reden zijn, waartoe Liam de redenen opsomt, eveneens zijn twijfel nopens wat er gebeurd is nopens de dvd! (‘disclosure of information’ zoals dit officieel noemt).
• Een mogelijkheid om in beroep te gaan was er zelfs niet, zoals de procureur in de video 4 in de eerste 4 minuten uitlegt: waar is de dvd? … 
• Het toeval heeft gespeeld op het allerlaatste moment dat het die procureur is, Jerry Hayes, die invalt en het tij doet keren.
• Zelfs als er helemaal niets ten laste is of schuld, wordt het bij justitie soms: ‘erop of eronder’. Dit is gewoon absurd.
• Het kan iedereen overkomen.

• Zijn vernoemde acht-tal gegevens niet iets die de wenkbrouwen doen fronsen?
  Je kunt immers een mens niet afschilderen als een persoon die hij overduidelijk niet is!
  In zo’n situatie heb je toch de niet te ontwijken basisvraag: “Is er iets onduidelijk?”
• Desbetreffend: ‘Prosecuting barrister Jerry Hayes says the case against Liam Allan came very close to being a miscarriage of justice‘.
• Dit is een ondenkbaar drama, met de overduidelijke gegevens in het dossier had het nooit tot vervolging en een rechtszaak mogen kunnen komen.
• Justitie lijkt soms op een verstoorde dienstregeling van het openbaar vervoer bij een staking, of een candid camera achtig gebeuren waarbij een onschuldige toevallige passant niets vermoedend in de valstrik trapt.
