Tom Daley, Olympic champion, returned to competitive diving after a two-year hiatus. His comeback took place at the British National Diving Cup 2023 in pursuit of his fifth Olympic Games at Paris 2024. Daley, who won gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the men’s 10m platform, clinched gold in the men’s 10m synchro event with partner Noah Williams. Expressing his feelings, Daley mentioned it was nice to be back and experience the adrenaline of competition again. He described the return as weird and different, feeling a bit shy after being away for so long and observing changes in the team dynamics. Daley’s last competitive appearance was at Tokyo 2020, marking a significant chapter in his career as he became an Olympic champion in the men’s 10m synchro event with Matty Lee. Having debuted at Beijing 2008 at the age of 14, Daley aimed for his record fifth Olympic Games appearance, inspired by his son, Robbie, earlier this year.

Tom Daley is the most successful British diver ever – winning 4 Olympic medals throughout the course of his career – finally winning that elusive gold in Tokyo in 2021.

Tom Daley is a British diver. Tom Daley specialises in the 10-metre platform event and is a double World champion in the event; he won the 2009 FINA World Championship in the individual event at the age of 15, before regaining it in 2017. He was the 2012 Olympic bronze medalist in the event.
Daley also competes in synchronised and team events. In 2015, he partnered Rebecca Gallantree to the inaugural mixed team World title, while in 2016 he won a second Olympic bronze in the men’s synchronised 10 metre platform, with Daniel Goodfellow. In 2017, he won World silver with Grace Reid in the mixed 3 metre springboard synchronised event.

Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black are celebrating eight years of love!
On Monday, the 26-year-old Olympic diver and his Oscar-winning screenwriter husband, 46, marked eight years together with sweet social media tributes to one another.
Posting a carousel of photos of the two on Instagram, Daley began the caption of his post, “8 years ago we met at a dinner, we lived on opposite sides of the pond and thought it was going to be impossible to make it work … but we did!”
“I am so grateful for all the memories, nearly 4 years of marriage and our darling son, Robbie!” he added. “I love you xxx.”

Tom Daley is making Great Britain proud with his incredible sportsmanship in the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. But away from the pool and his impressive career, Tom can be found at home in London with his husband, Hollywood film writer and director, Dustin Lance Black, and their son, Robbie.
Dustin Lance Black is a film producer, writer, director and gay rights activist. Since his coming out in high school, he has been an advocate for LGBT rights alongside his film career and is now a founding board member of the American Foundation for Equal Rights. Dustin is perhaps best-known for his screenplay of ‘Milk’. The film was released in 2008 to wide critical acclaim and in 2009 Dustin was awarded the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
Dustin and Tom reportedly met a mutual friends’ dinner in Los Angeles in 2013 and soon began dating. Shortly after, Tom came out as gay on his YouTube channel and revealed he had a boyfriend. Dustin later told Out magazine in 2016 that it was “love at first sight.”
Tom and Dustin tied the knot in May 2017 at a gorgeous Shakespeare-themed ceremony at Bovey Castle, Devon. In early 2018, Tom and Dustin announced the exciting news that they were expecting a baby via surrogacy and in June of that year, the pair welcomed their son Robert Ray Black-Daley.
