I remember those hearings. Watching this interview brings back so many memories of the times. Unfortunately, the younger people today in their 20’s,30’s and 40’s are not like their parents and grandparents who marched and fought for democracy around the world.
This time around, everybody should be prepared for all the “tricks” to outrule the justice system. Protect whistleblowers! This requires heroes.
One would think Democracy Now would inform us where we could watch this documentary.
I was in my early 20’s when Nixon went down with the Watergate scandal and Trump’s misdeeds stink ever bit as bad as Nixon’s. We can only hope for the same result for Trump.
I don’t know why many people think that this man is stupid. He knows exactly what he is doing. When the news first came out, he was startled. but then he also urged china to look into Biden, to depict that he thought it was completely normal to do that. He has been doing this all along.
The unnamed person at the center of this story sure didn’t sound like a whistleblower. Our intelligence community wouldn’t wipe its ass with a real whistleblower. Americans who’ve blown the whistle over serious offenses by the federal government either spend the rest of their lives overseas, like Edward Snowden, end up in jail, like Chelsea Manning, get arrested and ruined financially, like former NSA official Thomas Drake, have their homes raided by FBI like disabled NSA vet William Binney, or get charged with espionage like ex-CIA exposer-of-torture John Kiriakou. It’s an insult to all of these people, and the suffering they’ve weathered, to frame the ballcarrier in the Beltway’s latest partisan power contest as a whistleblower.
Actually, US has not stopped Trump yet; crossing fingers, but let’s not count this as a win until it becomes real.
