When Attorney General Pam Bondi briefed President Donald Trump in May on the Justice Department’s review of the documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, she told him that his name appeared in the files, sources familiar with the discussion told CNN. Also, in a surprise move, a House Oversight subcommittee voted Wednesday to subpoena the Department of Justice for files related to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, a highly contentious issue that has exposed major divisions within the Republican party. A Florida federal judge on Wednesday declined to release additional grand jury documents from the criminal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, marking the first roadblock in the Justice Department’s efforts to quell the public backlash over the handling of the case.

The US justice department has just released a tranche of files related to its investigations into late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

It’s not yet clear whether this is a full or partial release of the files held by the justice department.

The justice department faced a legal deadline to release the files by Friday, following months of pressure on Trump from both inside and outside his party.

The documents will likely contain redactions, and some may not be made public if they relate to an active criminal investigation, identify victims, or contain images of abuse

Being named or pictured in the files is not an indication of wrongdoing. Many of those identified in other releases have denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.

Prince Andrew and the Epstein Files: What’s Confirmed, What’s Missing, and Why It Still Matters

Prince Andrew’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein has remained one of the most controversial royal scandals of the modern era. With the recent release of new Epstein-related documents by the U.S. Department of Justice, public attention has returned not to shocking revelations, but to what remains incomplete. This documentary examines what is confirmed on the public record—Andrew’s documented association with Epstein, photographs, and the civil case brought by Virginia Giuffre—alongside what the newly released files do not explain. Despite a financial settlement and Andrew’s removal from royal duties, many questions persist. By separating established facts from speculation, this film explores why Prince Andrew’s name continues to matter, and how silence, redactions, and missing records have shaped a scandal that refuses to fully disappear.
